Studio / Fusion / Remote
[0.25.3-exp.1] - 2026-07-22
Capture is now integrated into Fusion, so you can capture with just a PC webcam — no iPhone required.
Breaking Changes
- Fusion is now consolidated into a single windowed app instead of the previous headless build, because the webcam and MediaPipe require a graphics device.
- The attachment socket names referenced by props and cameras mounted on the avatar have changed (
Head→S_Head, etc.). Props/cameras with older settings may need their attachment target re-selected.
Features
- Integrated capture into Fusion. Turn on the enable switch on the Remote app's Capture page and Fusion alone handles everything from capturing the PC webcam to pose control. You can set the camera, resolution/FPS, and (diagonal) field of view, and it also handles front-to-back head movement.
- Added a button to launch / quit the Remote app on the Fusion app's screen.
- Added Select Capture Camera (iPhone Camera / PC Webcam) to the Remote app's home screen, switching the setup steps to match the camera you choose. iPhone is the recommended default.
- Added blink calibration. Even for avatars whose blinks don't close fully — for example when wearing glasses — it corrects how blinks respond by matching them to your measured maximum.
- Fusion's composition mode (Single / Dual) and, for Single, the receiving channel (Auto / Channel1 / Channel2) can now be selected from the Remote app. Auto adopts whichever channel is receiving (Channel1 takes priority when both are).
- Added ResyncTiming, which resynchronizes the receive timing of both channels in one action (formerly "ResetFrameOffset").
- Added built-in animations to Studio, letting you select clips bundled with the app as override clips for untracked body parts from the Remote app.
- The expression page's Advanced Settings now lets you sync left and right blinks. It applies the smaller of the two blink weights to both eyes for symmetrical blinking.
- The Remote app now supports a phone-width layout.
- Added a tile that switches the active avatar to the Remote app's Deck.
- Fusion now lives in the task tray. You can toggle the window from the tray menu ("Show Window" while hidden, "Hide to Tray" while shown). Because Fusion is a resident process, it starts tray-only without showing a window (when launched from Studio, you can choose whether to show the window).
- Added a head position adjustment to Fusion's pose control. The default is unchanged, so existing poses stay the same.
Improvements
- Renamed the expression page's "Adjust Capture Source" button to Advanced Settings, so the expression settings open together in one place.
[0.24.3-exp.1] - 2026-07-09
Added the ability to fill in body parts that capture isn't following with animation clips, plus a lower-body pose lock.
Features
- Body parts that capture isn't following can now be driven by override animation clips. Clips can also be selected from an external animation bundle (
.anim.lsb) and specified from the Remote app's asset picker. Selections are retained across scene reloads. - Added a lower-body pose lock. It pins the hips and root to the capture reference point and holds the feet with IK, while only the upper body follows capture.
- The Remote app's scene page can now show and delete unresolved (Missing) objects. Objects that a saved scene references but that don't exist in the current session can be removed on the spot.
- When an error occurs in Studio, it is now reported to connected Remote apps via a dialog (enabled by default).
- Added per-live-project session logs. Logs are written to
{live project}/.livestudio/logas one file per session.
Improvements
- An operation set's manual hold and manual value are now retained across scene reloads. Reloading a scene saved with them on no longer misfires the operation.
- Added a range-of-motion limit for finger joints to Fusion (default -20° to 110°). It suppresses fingers bending backwards or over-curling due to noise.
- Fusion now reflects the tracking state of each bone. Body parts that aren't being tracked are driven by override clips on the Studio side.
- The Remote app now shows a request for feedback from the third launch onward.
Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the avatar's mesh flickered when the subject moved out of the capture frame. Body and face tracking states are now evaluated separately, and the avatar is hidden only when both are lost.
[0.24.2-exp.1] - 2026-07-05
Resolved the periodically occurring spikes (stutter).
Features
- Added an overlay that shows the FPS and memory of Studio / Fusion (bottom-right of the screen) to the Remote app.
Improvements
- The Remote app now fetches camera previews in a time-sliced manner (one at a time, with a configurable fetch interval), and skips preview/thumbnail fetching for off-screen cards to reduce load.
- The Deck slider now maps onto the assigned property's min–max range (e.g. you can drive a 0–100 property across its full range).
- On capture, when warping to a mark, the capture camera is now placed as the reference point, so with the real camera's height/distance settings the avatar stands on the mark (default camera distance/height are 0.7 m / 1.3 m).
Fixes
- Resolved the motion spikes (stutter) that periodically occurred on the Capture → Fusion → Studio path, using gap-tolerant frame interpolation.
[0.24.1-exp.1] - 2026-06-30
Added a Deck control surface to the Remote app and renamed the Actions page to Operations. We also refined the app's overall design.
Features
- Added a Deck to the Remote app — a control surface where you can freely arrange push-button, toggle, and slider controls on a grid and use it as an operation panel during a live stream. You choose each control's type when you place it.
Improvements
- Renamed the "Actions" page to the "Operations" page. It is now the umbrella for the input rules (Actions) and the control surface (Deck). The add button next to property controls was also changed to "Add to Operation."
- Value-mode operations can now be driven with a slider card.
- Reworked the Remote app's dark mode to an orange-accent palette, and unified the overall design of icons, buttons, cards, and so on.
[0.24.0-exp.1] - 2026-06-27
Added an Operation system that assigns operations to inputs (keys / gamepads), letting you switch expressions, avatars, and stages with key presses.
Breaking Changes
- Migrated the expression page's key bindings to the new Operation system. Any expression key bindings you set up previously need to be re-created.
- Changed the internal structure of avatar props. Existing props (
.prop.lsb) must be re-exported with the latest SDK.
Features
- Added the Operations page. You can assign multiple operations (setting expression weights, switching avatar / stage, toggling object visibility, and so on) to a keyboard or gamepad input and run them in order. Inputs support Button / Toggle / Value modes.
- Added a bind-to-key button next to any function or ON/OFF / numeric control.
- Operation sets can now be given group exclusivity (like radio buttons, turning one ON turns the others in the same group OFF).
- Added a stage-switch operation that switches the entire stage (loads the specified set and unloads the others).
- You can now sit the avatar on a chair. The chair follows the avatar's hips, and you can adjust the seat's rotation, position, and height. (WIP)
- Screen output size / fullscreen / Spout and live-scene quality settings are now saved per live project. The live scene you last had open is remembered per live project and reopened automatically at startup.
Improvements
- Unified the live-scene selection dialog into a shared modal.
[0.23.6-exp.1] - 2026-06-23
Reworked stage-mark warping into a per-set mechanism and added prop scale adjustment.
Breaking Changes
- Reworked how the avatar warps to marks. The previous placement object that let you pick from all loaded marks ("Avatar Placement") was removed; warping is now done per set, to a mark within that set (operated from the Stage page details). Live scenes saved referencing the old mechanism should be re-saved.
Features
- The size (scale) of a prop attached to an avatar can now be adjusted from the Remote app or inspector (persisted across load/unload).
Improvements
- Reworked the Stage page details so you can pick a mark within a set and warp the avatar to it.
- Improved tracking response to fast movement while suppressing micro-jitter when still.
- Body parts that move off the camera frame are now smoothed more strongly, reducing wobble on re-entry.
[0.23.5-exp.1] - 2026-06-22
Unified the asset pages of the Remote app into a shared list UI.
Improvements
- Reworked the Avatar, Prop, and Stage pages of the Remote app into a shared list UI.
[0.23.4-exp.1] - 2026-06-22
Fixed an issue where avatars did not appear in the list in the Remote app.
Fixes
- Fixed an issue where, even with an avatar loaded, avatars could fail to appear on the Avatar page of the Remote app (showing "No avatars available").
[0.23.2-exp.1] - 2026-06-21
Added a Live Project feature, so the app can now track and manage the external files and assets it uses. In addition to backgrounds, you can now also import props built from VRChat avatars. Also added "Stage", "Prop", and "Avatar" pages to the Remote app, designed for the streamer to operate during a broadcast.
Breaking Changes
- Renamed the Remote app's "Worlds" page to Stage, and the background scene (formerly a world) is now called a set. Set bundles now use the
.set.lsbextension (the legacy.scene.lsbcan still be loaded, but exports are now.set.lsb). Live scenes saved with the old structure (worlds / scene bundles) are not migrated automatically, so please re-save them.
Features
- Saved data is now managed per live project. On first launch a live project folder is created under your Documents, and adding an asset imports it into that folder. The folder is also the default Save location for live scenes, and the live project name is shown in the title bar.
- Added a Prop page to the Remote app. You can attach a prop (
.prop.lsb) to an avatar and have it follow a bone or socket. A loaded prop's tweaked values can be saved and recalled as a preset (.preset.json). - Added an Avatar page and a set of asset-management pages to the Remote app. Avatars, props, and sets are listed as cards with thumbnails, and avatars are now loaded by selecting from the registered list.
- You can place named marks on the stage and warp the avatar to a mark (or the Zero origin) from the Remote app. Objects inside additively loaded sets can also be controlled remotely, and the saved active scene is restored the next time it is loaded.
Improvements
- The remote connection and manager state are now kept alive across scene switches, eliminating crashes when switching scenes.
- The avatar's motion is now interpolated between received frames, so it moves smoothly even at variable frame rates and SpringBones no longer shiver on held frames.
- Stabilized camera reset so repeated resets land at the same position and orientation, and the virtual camera is kept at eye level.
Fixes
- Fixed an issue where, after running continuously for a long time (about 3.2 days or more), frame numbers lost precision and caused stutter in the Studio app's playback buffer.
[0.22.1-exp.1] - 2026-06-14
Added a "Worlds" page to the Remote app, letting you load background scenes.
Features
- Added a Worlds page to the Remote app. You can load and switch background and stage scenes (
.scene.lsb) to compose the stage for your stream (a world).
Improvements
- Adjusted the shoulder/hip pose denoising, rebalancing shoulder-area tracking and stability.
- Unified the avatar bundle extension to
.avatar.lsb(the legacy.lsavatarformat can still be loaded).
[0.21.3-exp.1] - 2026-06-12
Consolidated the Studio app to the Built-in RP edition, and brought its real-time shadows and rendering quality in line with VRChat.
Breaking Changes
- Changed the official Studio app (VirgoMotionStudio) to the Built-in RP edition. With this, the standard Studio app can load both VRChat avatars and VRM, displaying them with the same Built-in RP look as VRChat. Avatars exported for the previous URP edition may not load, so please re-export them with the latest VRChat Avatar Transfer.
Features
- Added a VRoid avatar (Female B) and a Virgo Motion telop to the default scene.
Improvements
- Changed real-time shadows to VRChat-equivalent soft shadows, smoothing the shadow edges.
- Added Fast / Standard / Beautiful rendering quality presets, plus VRC Low / VRC Medium / VRC High that match VRChat's settings. Changed the default quality to Beautiful and adjusted anti-aliasing.
- Adjusted the shoulder and hip pose denoising, rebalancing tracking responsiveness and stability around the shoulders.
[0.21.1-exp.1] - 2026-06-09
Added a custom .lsavatar format, which lets the Studio app load and display converted VRChat avatars.
